Sheboygan, Wis. – September 23, 2024 – In celebration of its 150th anniversary, The Vollrath Company is pleased to announce a substantial increase in its corporate giving program, reinforcing the company’s strong commitment to the communities where it operates, the people who live there and their well-being. As part of its enhanced initiative, Vollrath has increased its community contributions by $150,000 in 2024, bringing its total annual giving to the highest level in its history. Vollrath has committed to giving back at this level going forward and donating a consistent percentage of pre-tax profits every year to ensure sustained support. This enhanced initiative reflects Vollrath's dedication to making a lasting impact in the communities where its employees live and work.

This expanded giveback initiative reflects Vollrath's long-standing legacy of giving, rooted in the belief that the company's success is closely tied to the health and prosperity of the communities it serves.

"For 150 years, our commitment to the communities we live and work in has been a cornerstone of who we are," said Erik Lampe, President and CEO of The Vollrath Company. "This milestone anniversary offers us the perfect opportunity to give back in a bigger and more meaningful way than ever before. Our increased community giveback program ensures that we are making a lasting impact on the people and organizations that have supported us throughout our journey."

Vollrath’s giveback initiative is designed to be employee-driven, with each location empowered to allocate a portion of the increased budget to causes that resonate most within their local community. This approach reflects Vollrath's deep belief in the power of its people to make a difference where it matters most.

"Our employees are at the heart of this initiative," added Lampe. "They know their communities best, and by empowering them to identify and support causes close to home, we are ensuring that our giving is impactful and personal."

In addition to financial contributions, Vollrath is also placing a strong emphasis on employee volunteerism. Employees are encouraged to give their time and talents to organizations and causes they are passionate about. This approach not only enhances Vollrath’s community contributions but fosters a culture of giving and engagement among its workforce. The initiative includes Vollrath’s robust existing scholarship program, which will continue to support local students in their educational journeys. It also includes the long-standing tradition of in-kind donations to local non-profits, building on its impact beyond financial support.

"Supporting our neighbors is not just an obligation but a privilege," said Lampe. "Whether through direct financial contributions, in-kind donations or volunteering, we believe in giving back in a way that reflects the needs and values of our communities. Our enhanced giveback program is a reflection of our commitment to creating a brighter future for all."

Over the past several decades Vollrath has donated millions of dollars to support education, non-profits and community development. This year’s $150,000 anniversary bonus giveback will significantly expand that legacy and reinforce Vollrath’s sustained commitment to corporate social responsibility.
