The Vollrath Company is closing its Newport, Minnesota, production facility and exiting its 6-Series custom serving systems fabrication business as part of a broader effort to sharpen its business focus. The company is redirecting resources to core product lines, including its 2-Series and 4-Series Serving Systems, Fabricator Components and Velocity Breath Guards. By focusing on these core products, Vollrath will be able to drive even greater success in the serving systems and fabricated components categories.

Production at the Newport facility is targeted for completion by late March 2026, with assets and work content transitioning to other Vollrath locations, including the headquarters in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. The company understands that this decision has a real impact on employees and their families in Newport and did not reach it lightly. It follows a careful review of market conditions, the custom fabrication business and Vollrath’s long-term strategic priorities.
