Tool & Die Maker - 1st Shift

Job Summary

We are seeking an individual for the position of Tool & Die Maker. The ideal candidate will have with 3 or more years of experience with stamping and drawing dies, change over and tool and die maintenance. Also, capable of building stamping dies, draw tooling, weld and gage fixtures, or other tools as required. Experience with programming and running CNC Mills would be preferred. Must also able to use, apply and select appropriate materials and tool steel as required by a given application. Work from drawings, sketches, or models as required.


  • Build, repair and assemble dies and fixtures
  • Perform inspection and aid in tryout operations as specified for tooling and equipment.
  • Inspect finished dies for smoothness, contour conformity, and defects.
  • Set up and operate conventional or CNC machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders to cut, bore, grind, or otherwise shape parts to prescribed dimensions and finishes.
  • Smooth and polish flat and contoured surfaces of parts or tools, using scrapers, abrasive stones, files, emery cloths, or power grinders.
  • Maintain area and department in a safe, clean and orderly manner
  • Communicate with co-workers, engineers, and supervisors to receive instructions and coordinate activities
  • Verify dimensions, alignments, and clearances of finished parts for conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments such as calipers, gauge blocks, micrometers, and dial indicators


Must be able to demonstrate proficiency and skill appropriate to the job in the areas of shop mathematics:

  • heat treatment techniques
  • blueprint reading
  • job layout skills
  • machine tool operation skills
  • tool design techniques
  • fitting and assembly

Experience & Education:

  • A journeyman’s card is preferred but not required and 3+ years of experience in a metal stamping and drawing facility as a Tool & Die Maker.

We offer up to a $25.65 starting hourly rate plus a very generous benefit package including health, 401K, profit sharing, paid vacation and holidays, and others.

Up to $7,500 signing bonus
