Job Summary

We are seeking an individual for the position of IT Tech III.This is a critical IT role responsible for maintaining the integrity of all computer workstations and associated software associated with the shop floor and all the lines of business.  The IT Tech III will be the senior level point of contact for IT Techs to assist with advanced troubleshooting and mentoring.  This role is essential to the delivery of IT Service Management (ITSM) and the IT Tech III will be responsible for administering, training, and enhancing ITSM delivery to the organization.  IT Tech III will be responsible for administration of other key IT systems as assigned to support the business and manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

  • Administers and enhances service catalog within the IT Service Management (ITSM) system.
  • Administers patch management program
  • Provides guidance and sets standards for OS image creation, software installation packages, and patch deployment packages using Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager.
  • Specifies and sets system hardware and peripheral standards.
  • Management of inventory process for all company laptops, PCs, and workstations.
  • Responsible for the purchase, installation, maintenance and use of personal computer hardware and software in the Company.
  • Troubleshoot advanced hardware and software problems.
  • Remediation of computer viruses and malware.
  • Work with end-users to analyze and research their hardware and software needs.
  • User administration and support in Active Directory, Email, and Citrix.
  • User and phone administration within the Cisco Call Management System.
  • Procurement, Configuration, advanced troubleshooting of tablet and mobile phone issues.
  • Help with the development of junior and mid-level help desk staff.
  • Maintains currency in new developments and technology.
  • Conduct research on new technology, as requested.

Qualifications

  • 5 years’ experience in networks and systems maintenance.
  • 5 years’ experience on current operating systems.
  • 5 years’ experience imaging PCs and troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft office products and the ability to train on their general use. 
  • Associates degree in computer related field of study or equivalent experience               
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer related field of study or equivalent experience preferred              
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage stress effectively in high pressure situations
  • Administration and management of IT Service Management (ITSM) frameworks and toolsets
  • Administration and management of Asset Management tools.
  • Project Management Skills
  • Ability to translate business requirements in to proposed solutions
  • Ability to research new IT trends, technology, and solutions and communicate these technical concepts effectively to a varied audience including senior level management.
  • Strong sense of discretion and confidentiality required.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong conflict management skills.
  • Manufacturing familiarity a plus
