Job Summary

We are seeking an individual for the position of Industrial Designer. This individual will design and work with engineering team to improve and copy layouts for material to be presented by visual communication for presentation.

Responsibilties

  • Product Design- Custom Food Service Equipment. Custom Concession Carts and kiosks. Retail and Merchandising Fixtures and kiosks.
  • Graphic Design- Create graphic design elements and finished décor. 
  • Design products that are operationally efficient and visually appealing where the décor of the unit matches the customers aesthetic requirements.
  • Meet Sales team assignment schedule for design presentation to clients 
  • Work closely with sales team and customer to understand client needs. Contact clients as needed to understand design parameters and budget.
  • Work closely with engineering team during the initial design phase and production phase. Communicate design intent.
  • Designer takes projects from initial concept through to production assistance. 
  • Some travel may be required for customer information gathering meetings, design presentation, site evaluations, field measurements, or installation assistance.
  • Attend Weekly Projects Meetings.
  • Performs other duties as requested.

Qualifications

  • This candidate must be creative with a strong technical ability. Must be able to make an immediate contribution with design ideas.
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately.
  • Must have proficiency in these computer programs: AutoCad 2008, Inventor 2008, AutoCad Viz, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, Coreldraw.
  • Ability to hand sketch ideas prior to computer rendering to verify that the concept is valid.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education with 2-5 years work experience preferred or equivalent combination of education (2 year specialty school or college) and experience preferred.
  • Good communication skills required.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general technical procedures regulations.
