Job Summary

We are seeking an individual for the position of Food Service Sales Trainee. The Food Service Sales Trainee role is an integral member of the sales and marketing team. This individual will go through a 12 to 18 month training program to prepare them to become a member of the sales and marketing team. This position is in place to set the individual up with baseline skills and knowledge to be successful in a marketing or sales role upon completion.

Key Responsibilties

The rotation for training is subject to change but time will be spent in the following areas.

Working with District  Sales Managers

  • Shadow in territories of top performers
  • Provide Dealer support
  • Learn End user calls
  • Shadow and learn Equipment Sales
  • Learn Territory Management
  • Learn Chain Accounts

Working with Supply chain

  • Phone and email support with Customer Service
  • Order entry and order adjustment
  • Technical service - TCALL process/product return process
  • Shipping expedites
  • Buyer/Planner work
  • Purchase order expedite
  • Generate purchase orders

Working with Marketing & Trade Shows

  • Traditional marketing - Trade shows, catalog, literature & sales meetings
  • Digital marketing - website, email campaigns & video
  • Marketing analysis - pricing, research & promotions
  • Vollrath University - Training

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Marketing or related field
  • Ability to move to open fulltime sales and marketing role upon completion
  • Desire to learn and grow
  • Excellent communication skills
